You can’t go home again…but you can buy the house next door.
Rustfield holds a special place in our hearts as we have family in the community, so when we got the opportunity to buy the fixer-upper next door, we jumped on it. This project was actually a lot of fun. Since it was the same model home my mom had lived in for years, we already knew exactly how we wanted to reimagine the space. What we didn’t know is that this neighborhood we’d known for years was more of a gem than we could have imagined. On top of the beautiful community aesthetics and the walkability to downtown, the neighbors were mostly original owners and some of the kindest people we’ve ever met. They took a special interest in our renovation and an even bigger interest in the newest addition to the Sweetspire team who joined us while we lived here. In fact, we all took such a liking to each other that this was the first of three homes we’ve been fortunate enough to reimagine in the neighborhood, with hopefully more to come someday.
